Octopath is just way too stupid long. And it would've been a lot shorter and more fun if they trimmed the fat a little bit and didn't make you grind so much. There was no need for that.
Starlink is probably a better game to start with, although it's not so portable since you need the toy spaceships to play.
Mega Man 8 was originally on the PlayStation and had very cartoony hand drawn graphics. I think it had better play control, better graphics, and WAY better music than 11. Really the only thing I didn't like about MM8 were the "jump, jump, slide, slide" parts.
My favorite thing to eat at Cheesecake Factory are the fried macaroni and cheese balls. It's an appetizer, but I make a meal out of it. But I don't usually eat at Cheesecake Factory because it is so expensive.
I reviewed this game a while back, too!

I just got back from PAX South and played a lot of 16-bit style 2-D Metroidvania type of games, so you'll be happy!
It's such a clever idea and so much fun to buid and play with another person. That's why it wins for me.
At least it was a better year for games than 2016.
If I compared anything to Skylanders, you'd want to play it. :)
I love Katamari games. If you've never played it before, the Switch version is a good start. But if you are familiar with Katamari games, be warned as this is just a straight up port of the original game on PS2.
Wow am I really getting that predictable? :)
You know, if I had to play Labo by myself, it wouldn't be for me either. But you know I did say that sometimes my GOTY has good personal memories tied to them, and since I had my brother Jeff helping me build them and we had fun together, that's what made me make my decision.
Plus, even though Smash Ultimate is REALLY good, it's pretty much the same game we've been playing for nearly 20 years. And I've given the other Smash games the GOTY award for the years they were released, so I wanted to do something different this time.
