LIfe is Strange, and so is tabletop gaming

I can definitely understand that. I prefer these to Telltale games, because they give you time to make decisions and I don't feel like I'm just being caught off guard in the middle of a TV show the way Telltale games make me feel.

Another thing I like is the emphasis on (simple) puzzle-solving.

But if choosing dialogue doesn't sound like a fun game to you, I 100% understand that. I used to think, "well, why would I not just save the money and watch a Let's Play?" but it really is more satisfying for me to actually make the decisions and see where things go.

I loved what I played of Yakuza 0 and want to finish it, but maybe Kiwami is a good cheaper alternative.

Switch gears completely and play life is strange! Or not, it's not a mechanical game like Minecraft. Or games that aren't almost totally narrative driven. You can time travel though. That's neat.

Minecraft Screenshots (wish i could've got video too)

Not in my opinion. The tone is similar, but it's not like I thought of it before you said something.

The Rick and Morty influence is definitely there.

I pre-ordered it and was seriously waiting until the day it came out ... then my friend wanted to hang out after his test that day. lol

Like I told Snee, I'm well out of harm's way, but thank you. More worried about students from the Houston area. Plus, there's another damn hurricane coming somewhere. It's caused a lot of renewed bickering about aid packages Congress vote on and global warming. Joy.

It's not for everyone. I prefer it to Telltale games, because you actually get some time to figure out important responses (in the original; there's a new mechanic in the prequel I started yesterday I'm not so sure about), but a lot of the pick-one-of-two dialogue choices seem obvious.

Also, I'd like some trophies based on different choices as opposed to just photographs you take/objects you tag, but that's a nitpick irrelevant to the game itself.

You also have to be in the mood to revisit certain kinds of high school drama.
