That's a good point though not everyone has that luxury. Besides, what happens when the "Next Box" is no longer supported because MS has moved to the next big thing? Unlike a playstation 2 or a nes it would not be able to function anymore. Wouldn't you feel ripped off at that point? I know I would. There's nothing wrong with building things to last.

I still like choices. And wouldn't it be a hassle when you suddenly lose your internet connection? That does happen. Pretty much during that time your new console would be nothing more than a cup holder!

I know. lol. I thought this was "fav super heroes in general". lol. If I'm forced to stick within DC it would be Batman,Catwoman,Power-girl,Raven, and Beast Boy. I'm a pretty big Teen Titans fan too. (And I wish it allowed 6 because I want to add Star-fire or Knight-wing too!)

I do kinda think Orth was paid just to bum us out. Aka, after we've been flamed and told to "deal with it" when it comes to a console that needs online to function, "anything" will seem like a god-send by comparison. All microsoft has to say is "Seriously, our console doesn't need an online connection. Adam was on crack!" to get a resounding round of applause.

Still, I'm sure they will find more clever and subtle ways to rape our wallets. lol. I'm still excited though. Call me a glutton for punishment.

I usually mute the bullshit out too,Celt. Fortunately most of the people I've ever gamed with are good folks. Maybe arguments here or there but nothing as extreme as remarks about doing mums or sisters in the backdoor. lol. Most of those types of insults are so juvenile and ill contrieved they don't bother me anyway.

I will say I got pissed watching a few well paid game journalists act no better than angsty 12 year olds playing COD. I realize game journalists are human but there should still be a standard.

I'm still hoping games will stay at $59.99. I agree that having $80.00 games in this economy would be pretty foolhardy. Heck, even $59.99 is a bit too high for me on most days. I'll buy a game at full price only once in awhile.

Power-girl is cool. She has a cheeky sense of humor occasionally and I really like her for that! As for my all time top favs? Probably Batman,Wolverine,Spiderman,Deadpool,and The Phoenix (Jean Grey).

Eragon as a movie was "alright". I admit compared to other movies it could be long winded and boring at times but there were parts that were rather decent. It was no Lord Of The Rings, Avatar, Aliens, Blade-runner, or Harry Potter by any stretch of the imagination but it wasn't terrible either. However, I can understand why some people lost interest 10-30 minutes in. It took awhile for things to pick up the pace.

By the way,Air-Bender was a great series! I imagine I'd enjoy Legend Of Korra just as much!

I admit it would be "dumb" to jack up prices to $100.00-$80.00 a pop. I think at that point gaming would go through another crash like what happened during the Atari days. I don't know a single gamer who would agree to those prices.

But yeah, "online bullying" is more of a universal thing. A jerk-bag who is mean to females is usually mean to everyone else too. When there are no consequences and people feel unaccountable for their actions it often awakens that metaphorical little monster inside. It is how troll-babies are born!

There is sexism in gaming. Then again there is racism,classism, and every other "ism" you can think of too. Humanity as whole just sucks,man! Fortunately there are good individuals who make putting up with all the bullshit worth it.
