Yo ho ho and a bottle of...potion?
That's too bad. The ending is great. One of my all-time favorites!
You really need to read Game Over by David Sheff. It's covers how Nintendo got into games and came to dominance, especially in America, as well as interesting things like the origin of Tetris. That's where I learned all about Yamauchi.
It's amazing all the things he led the company to try out before finally settling in video games. He was an incredibly determined man.
My favorite shmup of all time is a pre-OSX Mac game called BulletEx. It was made by a Japanese guy and was a ton of fun to play. Vertical scrolling, great pixel graphics and music, very challenging, and no need to bomb ground baddies You can still find it to download but it hasn't been updated for modern operating systems, which sucks 'cause I'd play that again in a heartbeat.
There's a GameStop close by that, according to their website, has the Reloaded collection in the store. We're gonna swing by tomorrow to see if they do, though I'll only get it if it's complete (like my copy of Remixed). You have inspired me! lol
This episode was great. I'm glad we finally got an extended fight scene, especially since it included all the characters. We didn't even get a fight like that in the color trailers. And the length was great too. I hope episodes get longer like this as a matter of course eventually, even if this season is all planned out already.
I've wondered about both the sister and moon things too. Why don't they have the same last name? And is enough of the moon busted up that it's had an effect on the ocean tides?
Anyway, I still gotta watch episode 9. Better do that...
I never was a fan of Xevious. I don't like having to differentiate between air and ground foes. I want to blast them all with equal abandon!
I can't believe you got both the Capcom collections in one fell swoop! I still need Reloaded. I'm jealous! lol
I always assumed BioWare got its name because its founders were doctors and originally they were going to make medical programs. Bio—living things; Ware—whatever it was they were going to make lol. I know my premise is true but the rest is just conjecture from there.
