While I have no love for Microsoft I definitely agree that it would be better for us if there was a close race here. Why try harder if you've already lapped your competitors.
I don't like Microsoft but it goes way beyond gaming. I've been privy to their bullshit since the 80's and watched them kill or maim many a great company while foisting their own third rate crap on the world.
Why improve your own platforms when you can simply spread FUD about the competition while recruiting the feeble minded into your army of darkness. If I didn't have to use their shit to put bread on the table and play PC games I would avoid them entirely.
That said I still have an Xbox and a 360 because there were games I wanted to play on both of them. What they have done or tried to do with the e XB1 has just reinforced my already dim view of the company and if I do venture into this generation of hardware it will be a Wii U and/or a PS4. I will not give another penny to Microsoft.
Does that mean that no one else should? Hell no! Do I think that people who do buy an XB1 are idiots? No! Well at least not all of them. Some people who own a fridge are idiots but it's not an appliance specific affliction. :)

I've never unfollowed anyone and I know I only added Dan once on the day he signed up. I know I've seen peoples followers lists where someone appears to be following them 50 times but I don't see that on my account or Dan's.
I was watching Continuum but I missed a couple of episodes. I came back to a confusing mess of multiple Alecs and Kieras that I couldn't follow so I stopped watching. I agree that it's pretty well done and at some point I need to start from the episodes I've missed and go from there. It's Canadian so I think there's a law that we have to watch. :D
My weekly watching usually consists of Under the Dome, Defiance, The Strain and Extant.
Under the Dome IMO started off badly last year with acting that ranged from wooden to god awful but that seems to have improved in season 2. I watch mostly to see just how far away from the book it can get, the answer to which is "very far!"
The other shows I watch if my wife is watching them but usually while doing other things. I devote about an hour a night to sitting with her watching TV but that's as far as I go.
As you well know I'm playing Rainbow Moon and Trails in the Sky. Once I got out of a certain area in Trails the black rectangle disease seems to go away. *knocks on wood* It still freezes even with at 1366 x 768 but always comes back after about 30 seconds.
I'm reading Under the Dome and the Complete works of H.P. Lovecraft. I'm at page 400 out of about 1000 in Under the Dome and still astonished by the human against human conflict and scenes of rape, brutality and drug use that are totally absent from the show.
In fact the show seems to have kept nothing other than the names of some of the people and the titular Dome that they are under.
I'm currently eating an apple but must say that your picture of Mexican street corn has given us ideas.

I bought Black when it was on sale for a couple of bucks on GOG. For some reason I was able to play for a bit without getting motion sickness.
