The first one took about 15 hours before it got it's hooks in me and I wound up spending over 120 hours altogether.
It was hilarious to start the New game + because you start at the same level you finished the first playthrough with. at level 97 there isn't much in the way of a challenge and most battles end very quickly.
LOL, Other than the Rex running away from the battle while Tora is getting the shit kicked out of him I haven't found much that would ruin my enjoyment of the game. I find it a lot like the first game and that's what I wanted.
Oh I love it despite the bumps. I'm at the end of Chapter 3 right now. I might hold off on playing more until the patch next Friday.
I haven't even tried it handheld though. It's supposedly horrible, frame rate tanks and graphics drop to sub SD levels.
I'm all in on Xenoblade 2 right now but I hope they come out with a patch soon. I hear that it looks and plays terribly in handheld mode. I'm sticking with Docked but even then there are so many glitches. That being said I'm enjoying it.

While I can certainly see Casey's side in that some Moons aren't hard to get you still have to look for most of them and that for me is the fun part. I'm probably close to the end but I'm going back through the Kingdoms and simply exploring, going for a swim, and trying things I haven't tried yet.
As I said when I started playing, this is the Mario game I've been asking for since Mario 64 and to a lesser extent Sunshine.
I bought my Switch for Mario and I am not disappointed. I don't expect to get all the moons like my son did but I'll keep on playing until I don't feel like playing anymore.
I played the demo too and found it enjoyable but I have so much to play on 3DS that it would just get lost.
Damn another one to add to my Switch "must buy" list. Xenoblade next week.

I'm close to finishing Mario Odyssey right now and that will be the first game I've finished in a long while. I need to get back to Persona 5. I burned out on it at the end of the 3rd dungeon. Don't know why.
