Get your social links up as high as you can go with anyone you can as well as your academics. That will help with your fusions. I wound up dating 4 differents girls my second playthrough. It was a real comedy. :)
A lot of it is trial and error at first, but that's half the fun so I'm not going to tell you much. LOL

I have it from GOG. It was recommended by Blake but I haven't really played it yet other than to check it out for 15 minutes. It one that I want to get to.

Yeah they're such a disappointment.
I had a mint copy of Odin Sphere that I never played. Don't have it anymore, like many of my games it has been sold. I almost bought it the other week when PSN had it for $3.99
I haven't played far enough that I can say Yay or Nay about whether it is a must play. I played it a bit on PSP before but I got sidetracked. It does feel odd playing an old school JRPG like this on a PC but the fact is I'm still playing so I'm going to see where it takes me.
It's now in the Humble bundle as of a couple of days ago. I already have it on Steam but for less than 9 bucks you can get it and a bunch of other games. If they'd have offered something more interesting than 5 Hitman games it might have gone for it. As it is now Mini Ninjas is the only draw and I'm not paying 9 bucks for that.
I do like playing it on a 15 inch screen with a 360 controller though.
I own the physical so now I can sell it. Would have picked Earthbound but no Wii U
