Quake. I played a little on the PC, but I think most of my recent time has been on the 360. I wasn't big on FPS games but some on the original Playstation I liked. Somewhere between the original PS and PS2 I started getting motion sickness from them so I stopped playing until recently when I could play them in small portions.
There wasn't much reading going on in 97 that wasn't connected to a class in college...oh wait other than random articles in magazines. I'm surprised that Harry Potter was released in 97. Interesting that Game of Thrones was released the year before. That's a pretty good time for books.
Looks like I have to power up my PS4 and grab those. I haven't turned on the PS4 in almost 2 weeks. It's been NCAA Football on the PS3 for me.
Yeah I beat it on the 360. It was fun but I was on the border of Saints burnout because it was like a smaller version of SRIV. That game I sunk a ton of time on.
Oh that swing revival, I remember that phase when everyone was into that or the boy bands. I stuck with my Ska phase but I think I do have the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Brian Setzer in the library.

I never played MGS3 on the PS2. I think I bought it in a bundle for the Vita but haven't given it a shot. Congrats on knocking out those games from your backlog, and props for not buying games before beating the ones you already own. I'm slowly getting out of the buying a bunch of games but not finishing any of them mindset.

I don't think I ever touched a Turok game until the PS2. Clayfighters was fun, and that's a shame about Road Rash. I own it but it was one of the games I bought but haven't tried it. Is this when the GameBoy Color was released? This was right around the time when I started getting back into gaming so I missed it. I do remember when the Advance was announced.
Sorry I should have threw in more info. Top 5 Track 1's on an album. I used to have a discussion with one of my friends about how albums make sure their best song is Track 1 so the album starts out strong.
I went to all three SW openings. I think Jedi was the one that my friends and I took turns waiting in line for at this little funky theater in San Diego close to SDSU. After we had class we would hop on the bus and take over. We were third in line and the theater was giving away some special figure or something. The only thing that sucked was that the two guys in front of us were buying something like 40 tickets.
Austin Powers was a cool flick but I saw it on campus so it didn't have the same feel as a conventional theater but was still fun (and free)
Starship Troopers was such a fun film, and years later in a movie class did it hit me about the themes of the flick.
