Yay! Got some good books there, Michael. I have an older hardcover edition of The Silmarillion with a fold-out map. My uncle got it for me for my birthday when I was a little too young to appreciate it, but I grew into it later. And The Name of the WInd took me only a couple of days to read because I couldn't put it down. I still have to read the sequel, though.
Happy belated, Sidd. Looks like you had fun in NYC. Last time I spent any time in NYC, we went to the top of the WTC. I still have my ticket stub. I think I was 18. Long time ago when dinosaurs ruled the earth, I know.

I stick pretty much to counted cross-stitch, and the graphs for perler bead thingies work for that, too.
This morning there was a little red dragonfly zooming around and resting on the blades of grass inbetween zooms. It was probably one of the meadowhawks, but according to the book I have, they're really hard to tell apart. Dragonflies need water, their nymphs are aquatic, so if you live in an area without a lot of water nearby, that may be why you don't see many.
You really need an ebony jewelwing. This isn't a very good photo, though.
The closest one to me is Yonkers. Ain't travelling all the way to New York from Maine for any exhibit!
You have reminded me I need to start doing needlework again. I have three, count 'em, three tubs up in the loft full of needlework stuff.
The thing we tend to forget is that GI is a publication owned by a corporation that exists just to sell games. Which games are they going to sell more of: rpgs or something like Plants vs Zombies 2? Of course they're going to score PvZ2 higher. That is one of many reasons I'm not going to renew my powerup rewards card with them come fall.
