Eh, they're surprisingly deep and addictive. I played red for nostalgia, I was pokemon obsessed when I was a kid.

I chose the duck. And it is a fucking duck. I know it evolves into like an awesome dragon thing, but it's a fucking duck. I thought the lillipup looked a lot like eevie, but relooking at it I don't know why I thought that lol.

 And yeah fair enough. Are you happy your bf is finally playing pokemon?

Yeah. I got a ds and gamecube emulator (piracy I know) so it's not an ideal input method. Also, what are your thoughts on XD?

Right what is the fucking point of a 2DS?

 Never played revolution, but I don't really understand why you couldn't have the full civ experience on a console. I mean it's turnbased, and it's not overly complicated. I think civ 5 would work perfectly on an Ipad as well.

 Nah, it  was actually because I was playing pokemon and decided I anted to do the Lavender Town Theme.

 Yeah I'm glad she's trying! And yeah, I know for me, a game can have an awesome story but terrible gameplay. I mean look at Bioshock Infinite. Storywise? Fantastic. Gameplay? Bland and generic. The story saved that game from being a mediocre pile of shit in all honesty, and it's stopped me from playing that game again.

 But yeah. I have kind of noticed with female gamers I play with or talk to that they prefer and awesome world and characters over gameplay. While I value those things too, they seem to put a higher emphasis on it. When I talk to women about gaming, they often play Bioware and Bethesda games, or final fantasy games or MMO's. That's just my experience though.
