Lemons and Lemonade: Mass Effect Edition

And my 3-4 games for one plan becomes stronger. Dialogue was what I was most excited for, honestly. Never really cared about it too much in other games as an action/adventure guy, but I'd like to play a game that makes me do so and is based on my own choices.

So far the dialogue choices in Horizon don't seem like they'd effect much beyond the surface, but since they exist I'll just keep that my AAA title for now.

I typically like games structured via levels more than open-world myself, so I feel you. I just thought Horizon looked too cool to pass up. A new IP is something I want to encourage game makers to make more of.

What open-world games do you like? For my part, I've enjoyed the open NY of Lego Marvel Superheroes way more than I thought I would. I'm very close to a Platinum in that game.

To be honest, the animations don't look THAT bad to me. Everyone is acting like they're some kind of Looney Tune from another dimension when in reality it just looks like a video game with some laggy animation. If the gameplay is fun, I can easily overlook the animation from what I've seen. Hell, I don't know if I'd have noticed had the Internet not made such a big deal of it.

I still think my three or four personally-anticipated games for the price of one with mixed reviews is a solid idea though. In the end I'll probably just go with my gut. It bought McDonald's inside a Wal-Mart today, sure. But it USUALLY makes the right choice.

I'm surprised the original Shantae is your favorite. Isn't it way different?

In Xeodrifter, it's usually because i can't decide which plane i should be on.

I think shovel knight would be a great mobile game. I'd get it for switch.

I came around on wind waker before its release and actually loved anything cel shaded for a while, but i didn't like the first screen shots at all.

Yeah i knew DQ heroes was one of those games when tami described it.

I wouldn't rebuy it, but i never had a wii u, so I'm excited for those switch remakes. Since switch is selling closer to how the wii sold (well), it Should have a big enough library dwn the line to justify it for me. And unlike the wii, i actually like the concept.

Wii U wasn't cheap enough for me to go that route. Not at my local stores at least.

I'll just comment what I've actually played.

I still haven't beaten the last boss in Xeodrifter. It's definitely a Metroid game with a different skin but the bosses are way harder to me. Metroid bosses to me are just wars of attrition, where in Xeodrifter I have trouble dodging at times and it actually matters.

I have Risky's Revenge, but hear Pirate's Curse is the same but better. Do you believe the opposite since you said it's your second favorite?

I have Shovel Knight on Steam, but I'm still soooo tempted to get it for PS4. Just to use the d-pad in the dualshock 4. I was mad Strider made you use the control stick to move.

I was skeptical of WW when it came out but parts of that game looked beautiful and even better when i saw games grumps play HD.

TP was muddy on GCN as well, but I never had to use those controls you hated. You may have liked it more if you had that version.

I played Hyrule Warriors at a friend's and it seemed ok, but repetitive.

Nintendo land, mk8, and smash were fun multiplayer party games, even though mk8 battles need that update badly.

Man, I want a Switch. But I'm sooo skeptical. But the potential is soooo great.
