The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Review

Posted on 03/18/2012 at 03:26 PM | Filed Under Review

While this reply has been a long time coming, I just thought I share my two-cents on this review as a whole. I pretty much agree with everything that Nick said; its a fantastic game, and Nick reviewed it fairly unlike MOST gaming media outlets (Gamespot). Skyward Sword wants you, the player, to interact with it, and this made it easily my GoTY (tied with Mario 3D Land, Pushmo and Portal 2).

But I am just going to say this; if you write this game off as a waggle fest or a bad game because of it's controls, you are obviously doing something wrong. OH WELL.

Too Many Good Games!

I blame Mario games and Bayonetta for the fact I don't finish my other games.

Unless I plan on reviewing them of course. :)

We all do realize the PS Vita is a handheld, but my boss has given his stance on the matter and this is a very serious flaw that shouldn't have been overlooked.

Please do us all a favor and think before you accuse us of being biased.

Tekken 3D Prime Edition Review

Posted on 02/15/2012 at 11:12 PM | Filed Under Review

Since I have never played a Tekken game before I was hoping this would (like DoA Dimension) be a great introduction to the series, but now I can say without a doubt that Tekken 3D may be returned to the store. The graphics look great, but the modes are very lacking and the game controls awful. How could DoA Dimensions work out so well on the same system yet Tekken falls flat? In short: battle system, more extra features, and a tutorial/story mode.

Maybe you shouldn't have focused too much on the graphics Namco, since SSFIV3D and DoA Dimension actually manage to be better games on the SAME SYSTEM. And the former was a port.

This does not bode well for WiiU Tekken if the Tekken team half-assed everything with a 3DS game. Here's to Team Ninja and the forth coming DoA game that will come to WiiU.

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Review

When something like Go Vacation can be better then countless Mario and Sonic At (Whatever), you are seriously doing something wrong SEGA. And you still haven't put NiGHTS in as a playable character. That's even worse.

I may have to disagree with Katherine on giving this game three stars; while the game looks amazing on the Nintendo 64, its gameplay is really lackluster and the entire game relies too much on shock value to drive you forward. Granted, there are some very hilarious parts in the game, but the shift in gameplay styles kind of ruined the experience for me.

Yet nothing will ever tarnish the amazing singing piece of shit.

Tales of the Abyss Preview

I might consider getting this since Symphonia was one of my favorite games of the Cube generation. I'm still, however, pissed Namco didn't revoice the skits.

But hardly any load times? Hmm, I would get this if my backlog wasn't bad. Oh well.
