Wii Will Remember Retrospective

Posted on 05/20/2014 at 07:36 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I miss Nintendo WiFi Connection already. It was my first foray into online gaming, it wasn't the best thing but it did what it advertised. There's a story on how I got the Wii that is pretty interesting that I might tell later on. I experienced online play around 2008 and I thought it was awesome, I never had a computer so I relied on magazines like Nintendo Power for my gaming news and it wasn't till 2008 that I got a pc but had to get a Nintendo wifi usb connector and experienced wifi connection. It was awesome. I mostly got it for Pokemon download events but it was awesome. I loved all the Wii games I played, I didn't care about the graphics but the games and the gameplay was fun. I still play on the Wii despite having a PS3, 360, and a Wii U. I mostly ue it for Gamecybe games but I ocassionally pop in a Wii game for old times sake.I even played Mario Kart Wii with the Pixlbit community a few days ago and it was a blast. It's sad that it's finally dead but wont be forgotten.

So, will you need my Wii code as well cause I think that doesn't work anymore, but I'll post my Wii Code. Now from what I guess, it's probably at 6 my time since it's at the Pacific Time Zone right?

Edit: here's MK Friend Code: 4641-2541-2874 and my name is Gonzalo if you need that but you can use Captain N if you're going to edit the article list.

No, you don't use the coins to buy the platinum stuff, you just need to hit that 600 number and that's it. The gold and platinum stuff is free so you are free to spend your coins as you please.

When it comes to Nintendo, I'm the guy to tell you I guess since no one here hasn't told you what happens when you reach platinum status. Here's how it works, you buy games on your Nintendo device of your choice, be it Wii U or 3DS games, both physical or retail, you get points for buying games. On retail, you get a pamphlet or card with a code in it, enter it at club Nintendo and you get points, you can either save those points or redeem them now for some sweet Nintendo stuff at the site. You can also earn coins/points by linking your club Nintendo account to your Wii U and 3DS account and you earn coins for every digital purchase but it's only one Club N account per 3DS/Wii U account. Every year Nintendo has this Club nintendo year, it starts every July 1st of the current year and ends on June 30 of the next year. You have to reach a certain status by earning enough coins, if you get 300 coins, you are a Gold status member and are eligible for a special Nintendo calender at the end of each Club Nintendo year. If you reach 600 coins however, you reach Platinum status and are eligible for either the calender or a special reward available to platinum members only like this:

The Platinum reward is different every year, and those 600 coins are no longer eligible once the Club Nintendo year pases, but you can however spend them however you like in their site, you can even spend them while you're earning coins for the new year. So there is no fear of that, and they do expire over time though. Hope this helps!

I agree with this.

I want Ganondorf to be his own separate character, like have him use moves from the Zelda games, like the energy ball attack and the warp thing he does. Why not have him use his swords? That was such a tease in Brawl.

On Pokemon, it seems more likely for them to have Jigglypuff over Mewtwo if they are adding the original cast. Also Ness is still missing but I demand Captain Falcon dammit. But I still am going with the idea my brother said about Falcon and F-Zero because it does make sense. When they announce a new character it's because they recently had a new game.

As for Fire Emblem, I'm crossing my fingers for Tharja. Another female character would be awesome. As for Snake, it seems likely since Kojima said he wants to see Snake return for SSB4.
