Oh that's interesting. I guess you don't have to have the amiibo to get the statues of them in the game then.

After I had scanned ALL the compatible amiibo in the game (you get 200 Sparklium for each one), I already halfway to the Sparklium goal, and I was only on the second world!
I first played Pac-Man when I was five.
Well, the first two, Olimar and the Pikmin amiibo will work and give you a statue. Now, is your Bowser statue from the Smash Bros. series or the Mario series? If it's from the Mario series then it'll give you a statue in the game, too. The rest are not compatible. The amiibo figures that will give you statues in the Hey! Pikmin game are any of the ones from the Mario series, most of the Splatoon series, and ALL of the Animal Crossing series. And the Pikmin and Olimar ones, too. I'm actually about to start writing an article about the amiibo compatibility in Hey! Pikmin that'll post at GamerDad at the end of the month
Oh I still remember the Atari days very well, though. I guess I was playing games at an early age. In fact, the reason why I didn't get a NES right away was because I was perfectly happy playing Pengo on my Atari 5200.
Darkwing's car?!? Darkwing doesn't have a car. He has a motorcycle and an airplane. The airplane is called the Thunderquack. That Disney Emoji game just got a bit more interesting. Too bad I don't really use emojis. By the way, the new DuckTales cartoon just came out on Disney XD. I watched it and it was quite good.
Yeah the only way you'll get me to play a Bayonetta game is to put Kirby in it. They could team up! If that sounds too weird, just remember that Kirby and Samus teamed up in Kirby's Dream Land 3. Really!
What amiibo figures do you have?
A lot of games are compatible with any amiibo, but you'll just a generic goodie. Like you could scan the Bayonetta amiibo into Breath of the Wild and get some random items, or you could scan it into Hey PIkmin and get about 10 Sparklium. But yeah, it's really designed just for Smash Bros.
Although I read that if you scan the Bayonetta in the new Kirby game, you'll be able to play as her. Just joking! I just made up that last part to see if you were paying attention! :)
When Bayonetta first came out, I was at E3 at SEGA's booth and I heard a CLOMP CLOMP CLOMP behind me. I turned around and the noise came from a booth lady dressed up like Bayonetta. She couldn't sneak up on me wearing those high heel gun shoes. Very nice costume, though, if you know what I mean.
