Oh damn. Well, this game came out in 2004, so even if you can't run the witcher it's worth a shot. That game goes on sale all the time, I picked it up on steam for3 bucks. It's 20 atm though.

Hey man, Nice Blog. I has a recommendation for you! Since you have a pc that could run The Witcher, and you like dark, mature RPGs, I recommend Vampire the masquerade - Bloodlines. This is one of my all time favourite games, and plays out similarly to deus ex, in that it's an action game mixed with a hub based rpg. You play as a vampire, and the game touches on themes like child molestation, insanity, and humanity. Also, if you play as a Malkavian, you are properly insane. You gt to choose your back story, and one of the malkavian's is thinking you're a ninja, which means your gun skills are never above zero, because it's against the ninja code. As are ducks. Ducks are the Anathema of the ninja code! You also at one stage think the tv is talking to you. It's great!
To me, the original Tomb Raider's were about discovery, wonder and exploitation. I think they nailed all three fronts :p. That said, I would like to see some more puzzles and trickier platforming.
Yeah, after that the game stops holding your hand so much. Those first two hours are torturous though.
There are optional tombs, and a few of them. They all involve some form of puzzle, but aren't overly long. They are satisfying though, and they feel like a portal puzzle almost.
Not everyone has given it perfect reviews. If you want a fairer review, go to rockpapershotgun.com or pcgamer.com. Both still say it's good but acknowledge it's faults. PC gamer gave it a 74 I think, and RPS doesn't do scores, but they said it won't appeal to everyone. I would still recommend this game though.
Thank you. I'd be against the QTE's even if the keys did pop up. The sheer amount of them is mind-boggling, and actually frustrating.
Also, in the waterfall section where this death mostly occurs, the controls are quite unresponsive, making it hard to move out of the way. I've seen that death scene so many times it's not funny.
It is a decent game. There are still a lot of problems with it though. I'd give it like a 7 out of 10. The only reason people are loving this game so much is because it has a strong, non-objectified female protagonist. It won't be my game of the year or even close unless this is an incredibly terrible year.
And fucking Ghandi is a war criminal on par with Hitler.
...Still havent played a tales game.
