Oh there was a lot of looking up fatalities for the original...my brother and I had an issue of EGM or something like it that had all the moves, and the abacabb code where you get all the extra options on the Genesis.
I forgot to mention Rise of the Robots. I remember I bought that for my first PC and it had sticker on the box saying it was MK with Robots. I should have realized it was in the bargain bin for a reason.

Thank goodness I didn't buy Civilization awhile back when it was on sale. The last version I've played was on the original Playstation, and this one looked interesting enough to pull me back.

I figured the billboards only get the radio info, and nothing more. That isn't a big deal, and I know folks like me would probably listen to a random station like Christian Radio or something in another language just to fool with it.
I think White Castle is just a midwestern thing. I've had their frozen line and it's just sliders with onions.
It's all good with the double post, no harm, it's all good. I didn't care for the MK games after MK3, I didn't care for the controls and all the extra crap. Just give me the cheesy storyline, combos I remember, and characters I like and I'm good to go.
They're solid games, and can be played through in a weekend.
I like that story about you and your pops going to the local comic store, having that bonding time. Oh that bubble, my brother and I dabbled in buying those variant covers, upstart comicbooks, and now I have no idea what happened to them.
I like the digital comic, I have a couple on my tablet, and I remember having some on my PSP (the free ones). I wouldn't mind getting back into reading one or two. Like you I'm not into having the physical versions anymore, and I just want to enjoy the content.
If/when some of these series call it a career, there will be something new that will take it's place, and probably have similar controls to fill that void. I don't see Nintendo dropping their key franchises especially with folks like myself who bought their most recent handheld...and then bought a copy of the NES Super Mario to play on it.
