As I reflect on it a day later, I still don't enjoy the visuals, but the gameplay seems pretty good to me now. The camera issues are very controllable once you figure out how to manipulate it. Also, I noticed the sound was really good. The music plays all muted when you dive underwater. Nice touch.
Wow man, this should be a feature article on the site. Great overview! I love it.
Except for Golf, most sports games bore me, but add in RPG elements and characters like in the Mario series and I'm interested. I'm very interested in those GBA games.
I saw a boxed copy of Tales of Vesperia the other day. I almost bought it until I realized I had the digital copy already. I kind of wanted the boxed copy anyway. I'm not double buying things though. That's a no no. Oh, and I still need to play it. Ahhh!
Yea DK64 looks really terrible now. It plays fine except for the annoying camera views. Why every time you come through a door does the camera swivel around to face you instead of facing in the direction you are going to move. It drives me crazy.
I heard that several times from podcasts. Seeing the way Snake was dressed and the way he talked in the movie made me really think of Metal Gear. There's no hiding under boxes though. Ha!
I remember buying up PS2/Xbox/Gamecube games a few years after the Xbox 360 gen started and got a lot of stuff very cheaply. This is not like that at all.
I think I played it once and found it difficult. I wonder if this easy mode in the remaster is new.
I may not either. I forgot how ugly these old N64 games look. Or, at least this one. I'm fine with Ocarina of Time but those character modles are just grotesque. I've been fighting with the camera views too.
The Dark Souls games seem less dark and more high fantasy. I really love the horror design of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne.
