Sometimes Kotaku reporting surprises me

I probably can't talk about my firsthand experiences with Mr. Stieglitz. I didn't suggest this was rumor, though. I only said that I'm sometimes surprised that Kotaku can report quality stories, and this certainly seems to be a quality report.

Take a look at Monster Madness: Battle For Suburbia characters and the huntress from Dungeon Defenders. Given those, I'm not too surprised to hear that those words were spoken.

Rumor: Microsoft paying Third-Party publishers from showing PS4 games on stage or floor at E3?

Yes it is, actually.

Rumor: Microsoft paying Third-Party publishers from showing PS4 games on stage or floor at E3?

I think Microsoft misunderstands something. If Microsoft spends time showcasing a multiplatform game, people watch the footage and all that for the game, and not the platform. Time spent on Call of Duty at a Microsoft presser isn't time beneficial to Microsoft, it's time beneficial for Activision and Call of Duty. Time spent on EA Sports just informs people about EA Sports titles that are multiplatform, and doesn't help Microsoft, either, in particular.

These issues should be more concerning to Microsoft when the games aren't even just being published on two platforms, but rather four, five, or even six. Some games could reach the Xbox One, the PS4, the Wii U, the Xbox 360, the PS3, and the PC. What good does it do for Sony to focus on Diablo 4 at a PS4 unveil if we know the game will hit a multitude of other consoles? Anyway, yeah. If this is Microsoft's plan, I don't think it will gain much ground or traction just because people understand what a mutliplatform game is.

Excuse me, Mr. DiMola, but every time I post, the website sends back a message saying degrading things about my mother. I think it's a glitch, because it should be saying degrading things about your mother, right?

Looks like the issue now is that you can't paste it as plain text. That's one big difference between blogs and articles. I'm not the brightest guy around, but maybe I'll figure out a work-around. Sorry it didn't work. :(

Problem solved. Take the link to the video from the embed code, it's in the former half of the code. Then when you plug in the video, make sure you choose it's an iframe type video. Boom!

Stop Complaining About Review Scores!

My favorite review complete comes from my Disney Epic Mickey review. If you've played the game, you probably agree that it's actually a really bland puzzle/platformer with a lot of dull back-tracking, lacking a lot of the charm one might expect from a license that has the whole of Disney's forgotten catalog as creative inspiration.

Anyway, the review was linked to on N4G, a gaming media aggregate site. One individual there didn't own a Wii and had never played the game. He blasted my opinion of the game on the basis of my age, suggesting I was too young (I was 23 at the time, I believe) to get most of the references.

It is my favorite criticism ever. The best.

Hey! PixlBit can handle Blip embeds! I've used it myself, for hosting replays of various PlayBits. Looking at the page source for your blog, I can't say for sure what went wrong, but I can say that the code you used trying to embed the video doesn't match blip's own embed code. Here's my recommendation: Rather than using the options inside the text formatter box, just copy and paste the embed code. Choose to preview the page once you've done that, and refresh the finished page once or twice. The system isn't perfect, but at that point, the video should be on the page and working.

I think. If you have an issue with that, let me know, and I'll look into it some more.

Tiny Tina gameplay footage!

I've checked out what they've said about this DLC and watched a little bit of footage, and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. Oh, not in this piece of DLC. Rather, I find it a little sad that the other three DLCs of the season pass didn't exactly live up to the creativity and quality of this one. There are some elements that are hits in the other three DLCs, but overall, they're rather bland. Here, we see new game mechanics, new, repeatable game rounds, and items that seem to work rather uniquely. I wish the other three had been like that.

Which episode one? I wouldn't blame you in either case, season 1 or 4. The pilot isn't great, and serves, like most TV pilots, to establish a setting more than provide an example of what the show will be. Try watching up to episode three or four of the first season before you make up your mind on the show, as those first few episodes beyond the pilot are more enjoyable.

If it was season 4's first episode, some opinions have been mixed about it. I loved the first episode and thought the second one might be the weakest of the new season, but  the fourth season's structure lends itself to more enjoyment per episode the more episodes you watch, as things kind of piece together in early season episodes as things are uncovered in later ones. Or something like that.
