Well thank you haha. You could totally do it. Be brave.

I think that helps a lot, that since it is a smaller size, everything is very community-based. It makes the whole site seem a lot more down to earth and friendlier.
I think it kicks people into gear sometimes haha.
Well, hurry up and get on it!
Ah! Okay, yes it does. THere are some events that involve higher level areas that you cannot access, or like you said, haven't explored. Mostly though, you shouldn't wiorry about being left behind because ultimately, they have no effect on your specific character; the effects of the event affect the whole of the game, so everything that changes will also be available to you. Unless it's a reward or something, then you have to earn that.
There are, also, a lot of things you can do if you can't reach the area for the event-there's PvP for the events, activities and achievements you can strive towards (those can be found in your hero pane), among various other activities. You can also join up with runners who will run through to a specific location.
As for the rest, get out there and explore! If you are a beginner level character, there are activities for you as well! Just talk to a herald in your respective city to find out what you can do to help. Just out of curiosity, what did you make?
The game updates are designed to change the world of Guild Wars 2 over and over again, so you always see the effect, even if you are not a main part. I've missed a lot of events because I was busy doing something else, but in the long run, I wasn't disappointed. Just have to wait a few days until the next one. To be honest, I usually stick to the basic fights and random add-ons from the events; I don't often follow the whole story.
Was I able to help you at all?
If you like mmorpgs, this is an awesome one, and possibly my favorite that I've played, second to the first GW. It's alright if you don't know a lot of people who play-mostly everyone is really friendly, and the whole game is community based. It's easy to join a guild as well. My dad and his friend play, so I just joined their guild. It's a fun game to solo as well, and since it's one mass server, you always run into other players to join up with.
I think you should!
THere are major updates and events happening every two weeks, and the Living Story is designed to help change the world and events. There will be a bunch of new things introduced a lot the way, I'm actually about to write up an article about the latest news that was just released :)
Awesome! Thank you for the support!

Thank you! This week is going to be a "super show". We have a lot of work to do!
