While Ryu and Joe Musashi are tearing around trying to combo each other and being generally un-ninja-y, Rikimaru from Tenchu stealth kills both those fools at the same time.

You know, the concept of games somehow having "unrated" content bolted in after the fact never occurred to me until it was brought up in this episode. I would like to think that having that stuff behind a secondary paywall would keep people from freaking out, but I think you might be right.
Thanks for listening even if the topic sounded boring. Glad you enjoyed! The next episode was a tough personal journey for me, so I'm apprehensive at people's thoughts.
I have one other regret: that we will apparently never know who won the Shitty Game Review Contest.
I could probably survive with a Gamestop and Amazon, but that wouldn't change the isolated feeling. Of course, I don't have any gamer friends, so I guess it's the same thing.
I just checked out that site, and it seems like a fantastic tool. I like the way it mentioned that Destiny is less violent than most shooters. That's info that parents should have if they don't play games themselves.
I'm glad you enjoyed. I'm not sure if we conveyed everything about Gamer Gate that I wanted to, but hopefully our points came across, anyway.
I was heartbroken to hear Morello's backstory. She's easily my favorite character.
I've been making my way through hardcore mode, and I can't wait to tell my story on episode 55. I didn't talk games on the new episode because we spent so much time on Gamer Gate, but this has been one of the most stressful things I've attempted in recent gaming memory.
Actually, The Last Airbender and Korra are great examples of modern "good vs. evil" cartoons. I realize that the cartoons I grew up on were toy adverts, but that didn't stop the show creators from putting in some great messages and coming up with amazing characters, and I think that's missing from a lot of things these days.
I think if anything the gameplay trailer reminds people that Final Fantasy is ever changing, and each new installment brings new elements and a chance for a fresh start. We had almost a decade of XIII stuff, and it's time for something new. Personally I do think the graphics can look this good, and I dig the idea of FF creatures invading a "real" world.
I'll just have to stomach more of that tired Nomura design, which is running rampant in this one.
Have people outside of SE played it yet? I refuse to believe it's actually a game until it is shown publicly playable. This thing looks gorgeous. I just hope the bulk of the story isn't delivered via GTA-style car rides...
I can't get enough of Diablo 3. As far as "darker", I personally love that Blizzard art style combined with turning big enemies into Mortal Kombat-esque piles of bone and meat. I'd say that if you chose the Demon Hunter first that might attribute to you being less than enthused. I'm using her for my hardcore playthrough and it took a while before the game got fun again because I was just holding down the X button and things would die. Once the encounters got tougher and I got some more exciting abilities it became a completely different game.
