You can't go wrong with the original Super Mario Bros. That was the first game I ever owned too. Although the first game I ever actually played was Double Dragon on NES. Which I'm still playing lol. I don't know about the DS version, but I sunk way too many hours into Puzzle Quest on PC. Those games are addicting!

Yet another GOTY list where I haven't played anything off of lol. I'm rapidly growing more and more out of touch with modern gaming, and honestly could care less. I wouldn't mind playing the Last of Us though.
The only MMO I ever played was Ragnarok. It took forever to do anything or get anywhere. My brother has this game on PS3 though, and I watched him play it. It looks fun. If there wasn't a subscription fee I would try it. I haven't played a single game on your GOTY list lol.
I've been meaning to buy Kid Icarus on NES, but keep forgetting about it. I never owned that game back in the day, but rented it a few times. I don't think I ever made it that far. I have read that it's insanely difficult though. Maybe I should just skip the NES version and go straight for the GB version lol. 
It kinda looks like Angry Birds meets Super Meat Boy.

I haven't played any of these games. Unless you count the original version of Windwaker and DuckTales. Man... I fail lol. I want to get Rayman Legends eventually though. I liked Origins a lot.
This list does seem pretty predictable. I'm glad to see Blood Dragon made it. I'm just now playing that game and it's awesome. It's like an 80's action movie in game form. Michael Biehn is the man!
