I can definitely agree on the vocalist and business woman part. She excells at it. But now that I can see what you mean on the musician part, and it's honestly now that I know how little she puts on the music despite being the center of attention. Seriously, there's about 4 credits for producers and songwriting on almost each song of her newest album alone. Maybe we should give the praise to the producers and the other songwriters instead :P

Look, I understand where you are coming, but I just hate that phrase and I hate No True Scotsman actitudes in general. I can even be a devil's advocate on some Pop artist despite not being into it.
Maybe it's just my opinion, but I think Kanye knows very well of sampling and producing and I think he does a good job at it. At the very least I haven't heard a song where he pulls a Puff Daddy and simply lift a song straight and just sings it with other verses. Let's just agree to disagree here and agree instead of him being a narcissit jackass.
