You never played the original? You should, just to see how it all started.

Hey your list is almost like mine, just flipped over!
Your story reminds me of how I played Super Mario Kart on the SNES. I knew every track and when to turn and whatnot, and we played Battle Mode a lot with friends. I did have a little bit of fun with Battle Mode on the N64 one, but after that I never really messed with them much.
Yeah games you play together with others tend to have better memories associated with them.
Yeah it's a shame how unfair the Mario Kart games have become. They used to not be so bad. They're still fun, but annoying sometimes.
Yeah I never really thought Golden Axe was all that good. I did like playing as Tyris Flare and the dwarf, though.
Stay away from the new Golden Axe game: Beast Rider. It's awful.
Never really got into the Phantasy Star games. Although if I had a Genesis as a kid, I probably would've been really into Phantasy Star IV like how I was with FF6 on SNES.
I'll be interested in a Xbox One and/or a PS4 when they have enough games on them that appeal to me.
There was a PSOne game called Treasures of the Deep that was an underwater game, too. And don't forget Ikachan.
Yes it is very much like those movies. Probably better than Starship Troopers, though.
Kirby will still kick his butt!
