The original third person Ninja Gaiden is pretty much a modern classic. It just felt so right. 2 may technically have improved control and combat, but not it's not as memorable. I trust your judgment, so I'll have to try Razor's Edge eventually. Played the original NG3 demo, and I wasn't impressed. Felt way off, budget even. RE is supposed to be an improvement.

I agree. The 'bigger is better' mentality is not good game design. The Asylum in the first game was a character in itself, while the city in AC was bland.  All it did was add travel time, which is a drag.

But the masses are size queens. This series will never go back to tight design.

I'm pretty confident in saying that SWAT 4 was the last word in quality CQ tactical simulations. Rainbow Six has gone towards arcade, and now this train wreck. I don't think this kind of thing can be done properly on a meager budget. Unfortunately, the AAA publishers will not commit to a game with the severity that a tactical simulation demands. What a shame.

Shock cinema, nothing more.  The subject of sexual assault and fear of the back-woods has been handled with more sophistication elsewhere.  This film is a freakshow, and not a particularly well done one. It has nothing of any value to say, it's not educational, and it doesn't provide aesthetic pleasure or wonder.

Taurus demon should be cake, but tedious. If you stand close enough he can't hit you. As for the rest of the game, good luck. Personally, it would bore the hell out of me what with fist weapons doing so little damage.  

I'm in a similar position. I have about 100 available for leisure for a few months. That's actually not much, considering that includes any non home cooked meals, snacks, movie tickets, any venue that charges a fee, etc. My PS3 needs fixing in order to play the (disc based) games I already payed for. Don't know if it's worth the 80-100 it may cost to fix it right now, or settle for a new download game and save the rest of the money.

I don't use the term, unless it's their profession. I'll say video game fan, or enthusiast, or player. "Gamer" strikes me as defining someone by their hobby, which I find absurd. Plus when I see or hear the word, it just makes me think of small minded idiots on the 'net who argue (poorly) over insignificant crap.

There are guns in Minecraft?  Never seen one.

I best get a beta invite. I've been down with From Software and Souls since day one.

More conceptually disgusting than explicitly graphic. Part 2 and A Serbian Film are straight vile though.
