Everything Old Is New Again?

Posted on 01/18/2016 at 04:14 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I am just started playing Dmc: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition for PS4. I have been meaning to play it for sooo long. It's dark and the combat is pretty good, like what I am playing so far.

The original Devil May Cry for PS2 is my favorite in the series. I remember being blown away by the visuals way back in the PS2 days. It plays perfect and I love everything about that game. I like when you fight the bosses how Dante has his one-liners. Devil May Cry 2 is not as good and part 3 is really hard. I have that HD collection too, it's awesome.

I bought that Resident Evil Origins Collection for PS4. I have never played REmake before, so looking forward to playing that as well.

Fallout 3. My friends kept telling me that game was the best thing since sliced bread. I played for about 10 hours and never touched again. That's why I don't care about Fallout 4...

Episode 78: State of the Generation 2015

Great podcast guys, good to see you back on the regular. I definitely agree that it is frustrating that these days you cannot buy a game at the store and go home and put it in and play it. My brother got Black Ops III and I knew he wanted to play online co-op together and I pre-warned him about the 3GB  update that he was going to have  download. It's just not the same.

One thing I like about where gaming is going is that companies are listening to what gamers want. Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Shenmue III are perfect examples.  I also like that current systems incorporate social hooks into their UI.. The "share" button is awesome on the PS4.

Chris Goes All Video Game Resolutions To End 2015

Reducing buying games is a resolution for me too.  I have been buying a lot of PS3 games lately becuause they are so cheap (i.e. South Park: Stick of Truth for $6, Bayonetta (PS3) for $5...etc.). I have a bad habit of buying and not playing as it sounds like we all do.

What I've Been Playing

Metal Gear Solid V is my game of the year. I loved every minute of that game. I agree that it was maybe was't quite done, but that's on Konami I think. Glad you enjoyed it as well.

I also just got a Vita. I got it really cheap, I want to use for remote play. I did buy Final Fantasy VII-IX for it. I want to get Xenogears and maybe FINALLY play Final Fantasy VI and see what the fuss is about. I have a ton of free PS+ games for Vita, glad I "bought" them when I had the chance.

Glad you are enjoying Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, it's definitely my game of the year. I have loved the Metal Gear Solid series since the first one on the original Playstation. It took me about 83 hours to beat the game, that was doing about 95% of the missions and side ops. This isn't a spoiler but you see credits like 4 times, so do not think you are done after seeing them the first time. I didn't think I was going to like the game due to everything I was hearing about it close to release.  It's definitely worth playing through to the end.

I just started playing Until Dawn, I am liking it quite a bit, every decision seems important and I am always curious what would've happened if I chose differently. My brother and I have been playing the hell out of Star Wars Battlefront, that game is pretty awesome.

I haven't played that Front Mission game, played Front Mission 4 for the original Playstation, loved that game.
