I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I think I can appreciate MGS2 now for what it was. The first time I played it, I was like, "Yep, I'm done with this series!". But Konami always keeps us coming back for more, huh?

I definitely recommend Rising to any fan. The cut scene before the final boss was like a scene from Dragonball Z on crack lol.
Thanks man. ^_^ I was thinking about putting a different song in there, but TBIYTC is just so iconic to the series that I had to go with that one.
Haha, I liked sneaking up behind people and choking them out. It was so satisfying to be able to hear the "crack" and see your victim slide to the floor.
Don't feel bad. My pile of shame is really bad. I have games from the Playstation era that I haven't even spent 5 minutes on! One day I shall conquer Mount Shame and be victorious! I think I've just found my blog theme. haha
The game that scared me the most was Fatal Frame! I jumped every time a ghosty would pop out at me. Plus the environments and music were just so creepy that it really started to get to me after awhile, and I had to stop playing. One day I will face my fears and return! lol I would really like to see a true "horror" game in which it messes with you psychologically the way FF did. ED sounds pretty cool. I will have to try it out.
Nice to meet you. =-) Final Fantasy is still my favorite series because of all the good memories. Plus releases like Theatrythm and FF Dimensions are coolios to me! I really wish they would release Type-0 on the PSN store for the fans, but I realize the reality of it as well. In the meantime, I'm crossing my fingers for a Vita port down the line. I would go out and buy one today if that were to happen lol.
Have a safe trip! ^_^
Back when I was actively collecting games in the Playstation days, I got both of them and preserved them in boxes. I still have them, so I can play them if I want. The problem is, the games were just boring to me. I also tried to play the DS game, but it was just awful. If they did revive the IP, it would have to be on a handheld imo. I would be fine with anime cut scenes, but they need to update the combat system like you said. Also, get a quality writer on the project and go all out.
And I think a March Madness would be super. ^_^ Let's get to work!
It's tricky to remember the rules if you're unfamiliar with fighting games, but the plot had all the angst and fan service you could ask for. ^_^
