I'm glad you enjoyed it, I always thought it was an interesting idea. I really hope you like Dragoon. Even on my second play through that game blew my mind. I might just pop in a disc to relive some memories.

I don't know if I can choose a favorite, I like all these cities but they each do something special for me. I didn't like TP version of Castle Town nearly as much, but that might have something to with the fact that I was quite disappointed with that game.
Ding Dong Dell would probably go on my honorable mentions, however since this is an old blog, it wouldn't be right to go back and change it. I also realised I completely forgot about Termina from Chrono Cross!
Too bad this is in TK's hands now. Having seen screenshots, the game indeed looks very beautiful. It's the first game in the series I've been interested in, but I would have been much more likely to buy it if NIS was handling it.
I still don't know how to finish a level in Tetris. For puzzle games I go with Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (which apparently used to be Tetris Attack), Peggle, and uh, Bejeweled...
I agree that FFT is the king of SRPGs. I too am a little nostalgic for the PS1 version, even though the PSP game did bring a much better translation and some really nice cut-scenes (though with some added slowdown).
Well, there's not much music I've listened to pre-90s so I can't add much here. I have an affinity for the 90s too, but maybe that's because punk rock was better back then.
Yeah, I found the punching kind of annoying. It's like 2/3s of all enemies just come charging at you even though you have more guns. And it definitely could have used more Chloe. Anything could use more Chloe. Great game though, and it's going to be tough getting more epic set pieces than one's like the cruise ship or the plane in the next game.
I'm a huge fan of SRPGs, but I played about 8 hours of this one before quitting. I was interested in the game because I read the game was really complex, allowing you to use anything on the map as a weapon and such. However, it wasn't very fun to play for me. I also found it too happy and colorful. Too many beaches and grassy plains for my liking. Glad you enjoyed it though.
I wouldn't mind reading that PSP blog of yours. You should link it to me!
Well, me neither. I am thankful that Sega has released all these classic collections that made me run into such a great series.
