Chess is too much for my little brain. But I learned how to play it via an old PC chess game called Battle Chess, so I could see all the battle animations.

I played the Mega Man Battle Network games on the GBA, but not the Star Force games on DS. The first 3 Battle Network games were pretty fun and charming little RPGs.

There's a game called Odin Sphere, where you don't level up by fighting enemies, but by collecting ingredients and eating food in a restaurant. It always cracked me up seeing the small and dainty witch and fairy characters eating 15 plates of food in one sitting in that game! They must be really full!
As a fan of games like Super Dodge Ball, Penguin Wars has always looked interesting to me.
