Chess Master: PS2 Classics ( 4.5 out of 5 )

Chess is too much for my little brain.  But I learned how to play it via an old PC chess game called Battle Chess, so I could see all the battle animations.

Things I Have Been Doing

I played the Mega Man Battle Network games on the GBA, but not the Star Force games on DS.  The first 3 Battle Network games were pretty fun and charming little RPGs.

I read a few Asimov books when I was a teenager.  My brother Jeff likes that Homestuck comic.

You sure do know a lot about DC names!  Harley Quinn was a lot scaries in the Arkham games than in the cartoon!

Eating to Win in Enchanted Arms and Pandora's Tower

There's a game called Odin Sphere, where you don't level up by fighting enemies, but by collecting ingredients and eating food in a restaurant.  It always cracked me up seeing the small and dainty witch and fairy characters eating 15 plates of food in one sitting in that game!  They must be really full!

Why I'm not bothered that Nintendo wont be at E3

Posted on 04/26/2013 at 06:38 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Wait, as best as I understand, unless I'm not reading it right, Nintendo WILL still be at E3.  They're just not doing a big press conference.  Which is no big deal to me, the Nintendo Directs serve that purpose well.  And they're less costly.

Of course, I'm still bitter that after 15 years of being able to get a press pass to go to E3, I get denied one this year, so I don't really care if Nintendo does a press conference this year or not.  I'm glad I got to go to the one last year and see Miyamoto and Reggie in person.

From my experience of going to E3 so many years, I can say that I still think E3 is relavant.  I just think that the people who run E3, and the folks who denied me a press pass, have lost focus on what great things E3 can accomplish.  --Cary
