So if I'm reading this correctly, it's probably a safe statement to say that Portal 2 would not have been game of the year if everyone on staff was only allowed to vote for their single favorite game?

If so, I really appreciate this approach to a GotY award. It's showing which game has the broadest appeal.

I was originally confused by the fact that Uncharted beat it on PS3 yet it got Game of the Year. Initially I thought "Wow, they really thought the PC experience was better, didn't they?" Is there any truth to that statement?

For what it's worth, Portal 2 wouldn't have even been in my top 5 though. :)

I went with Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4... which totaled $82.

And now I will have $40 towards New Super Mario Bros. Wii!

This developer doesn't make sense to me. First Nintendo let's them make F-Zero games... then they have them make trashy worse-than-most-browser-games domo titles?

I still like to see MS supporting this service. While the purchases may not make a ton of sense now, it gets rid of the fear that a certain game will become rare.

Also, a quick site suggestion. I know you guys are probably super busy, but it would be cool if there was a way users could quickly get a list of all of the stories they've posted responses in, that'd be awesome. That way we could go back and look for responses to our responses.

Is this a strange amalgamation of Pokemon Channel, the mini games from the original Stadiums, and Pokemon Snap?

If so, that sounds pretty awesome, as the latter two things were pretty freaking fun.

I haven't followed the Wii Madden at all, but this does sound really cool. The last Madden I tried was 2007 and I just hated having to learn a new control feature seemingly every day.

I'll probably pick this up on 360. Maybe I can make the Bills actually win a game.
