Double The Fun? - Mario Mania #2

Two games in one part! Can you guess which one I like better?

Different things usually happened with Nintendo in two completely different continents. While the NES arrived in 1986 in North America, Japan was already in its third year of Famicom glory. Nintendo’s then-released Famicom Disk System introduced the battery back-up save feature, eliminating the need for long over-drawn password saves. Games like Metroid and The Legend of Zelda greatly benefited from this innovation. It was also this year that Nintendo saw fit to release a sequel to Super Mario Bros, appropriately titled Super Mario Bros. 2. This was a completely different Super Mario Bros. 2 than the one North Americans got in 1988. So what in the world happened?

Skylanders Gets New Characters

New friends are a quick trip to the toy store away.

Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure has been getting a lot of buzz from some interesting places. The game on its own is a pretty standard kid-focused adventure game (read our  review here), but what sets it apart from other things on the market is the set of action figures that can be scanned and placed into the game, and the official website. Kinect Sports Review Rewind

Good isn't always good enough.

As the owner of a brand new Kinect, I was somewhat surprised when I realized that Kinect Sports wasn't included. Being that it's clearly Microsoft's answer to Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, it would only make sense to offer it to purchasers of the hands-off peripheral. Because Microsoft has chosen to separate the game from the peripheral, they've forced Kinect Sports to stand as its own product. After some extensive time with the game, I'm not quite sure it lives up to its steep expectations.
