With Nintendo already putting their hat in for the next console race, it was only a matter of time for some official-sounding information about the next machine from Microsoft. Considering that the Xbox 360 is now six years old (two years older than the Xbox was before getting replaced), development of a new console has been a foregone conclusion. But today, two tidbits of slightly conflicting information have come out regarding the future of the Xbox console front.
Jak & Daxter HD Collection was first seen on a South African retailer's site. At the time, it didn't seem like a valid source but now more evidence has surfaced. It appears that the Jak & Daxter Trilogy is real, and will be coming to the PlayStation 3.

Atlus announced the development of an Action RPG based on Game of Thrones, the popular TV show based on the book series. The property will be made into an Action RPG and will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in "Early 2012".

Last year, 2K Marin announced that they were working on a new version of the popular PC game, X-Com. This version, officially titled “XCOM”, is a re-imagining of the classic strategy game, and takes a page from Fallout 3, transforming the game into a FPS hybrid. The game was originally given a release date of March, 2012, but in an investor call yesterday, publisher Take-Two announced that the game has been delayed.
XP rewards are also changed.
Today, a patch for Dead Island was released for the PlayStation 3. Tomorrow, it will be released for the Xbox 360. The new patch will make many changes and fixes many of the bugs that have plagued the game since its release.
