Games I Can Barely Wait For: Monster Hunter Tri

Even though the game releases today, Luke can't wait for the game to be delivered to his house.

Ever since it's reveal, I've been impatiently waiting for the Wii release of Monster Hunter Tri. I've always adored the Monster Hunter series due to the co-operative nature of the game. There's nothing greater that taking down the biggest foes in the game with your friends. This allowed you to develop various strategies, as aimlessly mashing the attack button to annihilate everything was not a valid strategy. You have to know how to exploit enemies weaknesses, when to dodge, and when to retreat and recover when you're badly hurt. Finally, I've enjoyed the scavenger aspects where you have to hunt monsters in order to harvest components to make a variety of things, from simple potions and food, to more complex things such as armor and weapons.

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon Review

A game full of emotion that truly emphasizes the frailty of humanity.

Once in a while, a game is released that breaks the mold of normalcy to create an experience that goes beyond that of gaming. Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon is an exceptional example of a rare experience that immerses a player in a world full of conceptualizing humanity at its greatest, and at its worst. It sugarcoats nothing and depicts some of the most blatant representations of realistic tragedy located in a sadly beautiful world. It's a game full of complexities that aims to take itself seriously, and succeeds wholeheartedly.

Tour de 64: Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage

Who knew the Nintendo 64 had RPGs?

When it comes to RPGs on the Nintendo 64, the choices are more limited than a fast-food menu. To say this is one of the best RPGs on the system sounds good at first, but doesn't actually speak much of its quality when you consider to what it is being compared. This is probably the purest RPG on the system since there are four party members, actual statistics, a money system, level grinding, a confusing, unintentionally nonsensical plot... everything a true RPG should have!

The DSiWare title is a solid and unique puzzle title with elements that aren't very common for the genre.

Spotto! Review

A simple yet charming puzzle game.

One of the most prevalent genres on DSiWare is the puzzle genre. Thankfully, not many titles that belong to this genre feel like are duplicates. Spotto!, the latest DSiWare game from Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, is a prime example of a unique puzzle title that is full of charm and small touches that will make it endearing to gamers, especially at just $2.
