That's gonna be cool in the new Smash Bros. to have them fight. Wonder if they'll make some of these comics extra collectibles in the game. That would be cool.

Archie Comics who own the rights to Sonic the Hedgehog (20 years) and Mega Man (25 years) are finally doing a crosover of the Two, True, Blue, Bot, Bashers in a 12 part event for 4 months. To celebrate both the Mega Man franchise and the Sonic comics anniversary.

Once again due to time (and laziness) i'll have to relegate these reviews to mini instalments, Next week Sonic the Hedgehogs 250th issue will be released and it'll be over sized so i'll do a proper review for that one. In the mean time lets crack on!
Sonic the Hedgehog #249
Writer: Ian Flynn Pencils: Tracy Yardley
When Worlds Collide Part 6: Friends or Foes
Story
Picking up from the last issue Sonic Mega Man and a De-botosized (Un-Robotosized, De-robotosized?) Master, Tails take on the Roboticized Masters formerly Sonic's pals and allies while Eggman and Wily enjoy the Brawl as gleeful spectators.
Good
- Tracy's art has improved (thank gawd)
- Egmman and Wiley are really the highlights as they make the story feel like a body comedy (a good one)
- Creative Panel construction
- The cover has something to do with the content inside, trust me it's rare for comics to do that for years
- Mega Man has a "Spindash Blaster" (that's what i'm calling it anyway) as well as more upgrades
- Flowers with eyes are creepy, you'll get it when you read it
- The last page, it's a really good cliff hagar and provids a bit of subtext for on former henchman who was mentioned and Demonstrates just how well thought out the 2 Evil genius's plan is and just how crafty they are.
- Small grip but egg man croaches in order to get to Wiley's hieght all the time
- This issue might feel like filler in terms of content, of the issue is fighting and the last couple of pages exposition.
- This STILL isn't Yardley's best i'm afraid but considering the dip in quality last issue, i'll take any improvement.
Mega Man #26
Writer: Ian Flynn Pencils: Tracy Yardley
When Worlds Collide Part 7: Evening the Odds
- The banter, hearing the heroes finally compare notes like there evil doers is nice and shows how similar the villains and Heroes are to each other.
- Shadow Man, i didn't get the reference in the issue above because i hadn't played Mega Man in soo long when the joke was spelt out to me i couldn't help but laugh even Sonic and Mega Man were looking at each other as if to say "... well, this is obsurd".
- The Shadow Men fight (that's the Joke) is pretty cool.
- We're finally seeing the consequences of the 2 Dr's messing with time and space.
- Mount Evil Scientists, you'll get it when you see it.
- Not much, it has far more story elements and plot threads, there's a nitpick here and there but this is one of the stronger issues. If i must say what is bad about this is that there are some references to previous issues before the crosover other may not get.
