The thing about Pokemon is that to the naked eye, it is kind of a baby's first RPG. Kid friendly designs, simple rock/paper/scissors combat, and only four slots for attacks. And if you only play the single player, that's mostly what you get. It's in a super addicting package to be sure, but it's easy and simple.

After Dragon Age 2 underdelivered, Bioware seemingly went on a mission to do the exact opposite of that game with Inquisition. There were too few areas to explore? Inquisition will have big areas to explore like Bethesda RPGs! There wasn't much connection like with Mass Effect? Inquisition will have Verrick and Leliana right from the start while revealing how all the big Dragon Age players/fan favorites are connected to this plot in some huge way for part 3! Dragon Age 2 wasn't about anything? Now you're fighting a dark being trying to become a god!

So, first off I never played Awakening. I plan to some day, it's just I usually try after Origins and when I beat that game I need a break from it and just put off an Awakening playthrough. That said, onto Dragon Age 2, without a doubt the most controversial game in the series. 

So, one thing Alex asked here was for me to run down the Bioware games. Only one problem...I've written a long piece on Jade Empire here. I've written countless blogs on both Mass Effect and Kotor. I haven't played any of their pre-Kotor games long enough to form an opinion. But wait, I haven't talked about Dragon Age! Or Sonic Chroincles I guess, but here's a rundown of that: Paper Mario meets Elite Beat Agents and make it mediocre with all the lame Sonic characters, yet Big is surprisingly pretty funny. That's all it deserves. 

Last year, I finally got into Dark Souls and loved it. I loved the world, the combat, the challenge, the exploration. Maybe I just needed a bunch of failed attempts to get into Demon's Souls or a burnout on overly cinematic games caused by Uncharted 3 and Assassin's Creed 3. However, when I finally got around to Dark Souls 2, I was in denial for a little bit until I beat a boss and realized that I was just getting frustrated, not being able to enjoy the stuff I loved about Dark Souls.

But I do like BaD, so here's the deal for this year: Give me a game or series I haven't written a blog on in the comments section. I'll write a blog about that game if I've played it. Or if you can't think of a game you want, post "I want Casey to talk about Pokemon." Because writing about Pokemon makes me happy. 

It's been a while since we last heard of Pokken news, to the point where I forgot about a fighting game where you play as Pokemon in my most wanted games list. I mean, what the hell Greenman? So, since Lucario and Machamp are the only Pokemon confirmed, I'm gonna list some Pokemon who I want to play as in Pokken. I'm not going to put in the huge no brainers though like Charizard or Hitmo(chan/lee/top), we all know those guys are coming. These are not as popular, iconic, or a no brainer Fighting type, but I feel could bring something interesting to the game.

2015 looks like a crazy good year with what we have announced so far. I'm sure something will get delayed, but on the other hand, I'm also sure Nintendo will announce three or four awesome games that will make up for them at E3. While there's a lot to enjoy, these five stand out head and shoulders from the rest of the pack in my mind. 

As the holidays approach, everyone seems to be in a joyful mood. Well, usually. This year, however, I see nothing but gamers yelling at each other and trying to prove each other hypocrites. And I know I do not just speak for myself when I say I am sick of it. So I decided to help steer us in the right direction. And there is only one way to do so: Festivus.

A lot of people always have no idea what Pokemon starter to pick. So, I decided to give in depth guides on what choice is the best one. And I'm sure I will piss plenty of fanboys off who are mad that their favorite is not as good as they thought. Which will happen several times, trust me. So, I'm going to rank them based (in no specific order) typing, stats, movepool, and alternative Pokemon. So, I'll start with the original Red and Blue versions, and will continue onto the later ones.
