I think Witcher 3 just spoiled me with what 3D open worlds can offer. Mainly, it did side-quests extremely well, on the level of main quests that would draw me into narratives for hours, like a visitor in Westworld. I left off with about 30 hours of gameplay, and now have 60. Im making progress in scouting maps and sidequests, but I think the stronger combat abilities late game just make the gameplay more fun. I'm playing as a Rogue Archer, mainly Archer with a lot of poison abilities. I can add poison to my arrows for a short while and then use a hard long shot that causes the arrow to explode and cover all the enemies in range with poison. Its quite effective, and I rarely need to get close and get my hands dirty, but it's honestly more fun exploring combat combinations this time around. I've also unlocked a new forest area, as well as a frozen area, and gosh is this game just pretty. I've been playing music off of spotify while I play, or listening to podcasts while I grind. I also have a horrible cold and fever this week so just chilling grinding mobs is relaxing while medicating. I also like sight seeing in beautiful games. And DAI is a beautiful game!!!
