I played a whole bunch of Diablo III today with my friend Mark. I've discovered that Barbarians and Wizards really don't get along. Seems like we were at each other's throats most of the time. I think it was due to playing on easy. You don't really need two characters at that difficulty, so it becomes a competition for who gets the most kills quickest. After a while, I had to take a diferent part of the map so we wouldn't be kill-stealing each other. When we start playing this game for real on higher difficulty, I'm sure we'll cooperate more; we'll have to.

If anybody has seen the pilot episode of Korgoth of Barbaria on Adult Swim, then you know who Specules is. I chose that name for my Diablo III wizard character and did his voice all day long. No, I never get tired of doing silly voices. Does Will Sasso ever get tired of spitting lemons out of his mouth? Of course not. Here's the third part that featured Specules.

This is actually the Year of the Goat starting in February, according to the Chinese Zodiac, but for me, it’s the Year of the Dragon because I’m reading a Dragon Magazine of the current month every month of 2015 and writing about anything of interest. So starting things off is Dragon 81 from January 1984.

I headed out the door to go to my friend’s place this morning. I brought my 3DS because I was going to play Fantasy Life as much as possible. I figured that I better bring my Xbox 360 too so I could check the sales. What ended up happening is Diablo III co-op. So much for my plan to stick to one game until it’s done. Well, you gotta give it up to Diablo III. It’s a great game.

A couple years ago I started keeping a statistical diary of my media consumption. It's fun to stat-up at the end of the year. I thought I'd do top ten lists for all the five categories I keep track of. Here they are.

Today I got deep into Silent Hill. So much so that I beat the game. Then I downloaded Tales from Monkey Island from PSN and played a few hours of that. I think adventure gaming puzzles are a real pain and should be easier, or at least have a hint system, not as generous as Professor Layton, but generous like the remake of Secret of Monkey Island (which I still got stuck in even with the generous hints - see how puzzle-challenged I am). 

I've decided to make every holiday a retro special occasion. I rolled a random genre with my Retro Game Encounter Table and got, Adventure. Then I chose Resident Evil and Silent Hill from the database. I was really happy to have a reason to break out my PS3 Super Slim and get me some PSOne Classics. It took some serious resistance on my part not to pick up Suikoden II and Grandia, amongst others. I get them later for sure though. No worries.

Finally we get to the meat of the year, the games that came out in 2014 that I actually played.
