Summer’s winding down, so you know what that means.  It’s time to write a blog about the movies I saw this past summer.  There may be some slight spoiler warnings here and there, but I’ll try not to reveal anything major, just to let you know.  OK, let’s begin!

It’s getting to be the hottest part of summer (at least here in Texas anyway), so here’s a batch of sizzling hot summer reviews for everyone!  Read these reviews and smoke will come out of your ears, a fire will burn in your belly, and it’ll put hair on your chest.  Unless you’re a lady, then you’ll just get really strong.  I dunno.  Anyway, this blog is just another batch of reviews I’ve written lately over at GamerDad.com.  Please read as many as you can and maybe even leave a comment or two.  I’d appreciate it.  Spicy!

One of Nintendo’s most popular sports titles on the Wii was Wii Sports.  So when the Wii U first came out, naturally Nintendo had a Wii Sports title for that, too.  But they released it a little differently.  Shortly after the launch of the Wii U, you could download and play games on Wii Sports Club.  You could pay for each sport separately or pay to play by the hour.  But now Nintendo has just released a disc copy of Wii Sports Club with little to no fanfare, so I thought I’d write about it a bit in this blog.

So recently I was wrapping up playing Tomodachi Life on my 3DS.  It’s a life sim game that lets you use your Mii characters.  I started thinking about other Mii character specific games, and thought I’d write a blog that features them.  Most of these Mii games are geared toward casual gamers, and while Nintendo has gotten quite a bit of criticism on that, I still think they’re fun.  Now, there are many games that let you use Mii characters in titles like Mario Kart and Sonic & All-Stars Racing, but I’m focusing on just the games that only have Mii characters and nothing else.  So let’s get started.

This past week at GamerDad.com, I took a look at some books and games featuring obscure and not so obscure Namco game characters.  But they’re all pretty strange so I dubbed it “Nutty Namco Week.”  So here are links to those along with a few other reviews.  Please click on and read as many as you can, and maybe even leave a comment or two.  I’d appreciate it.  OK, on to the reviews.

Can you believe this year is already half over?  What I like to do this time of year is write about the best games of the year 2014 so far.  Most of the really good titles come out during the Christmas season at the tail end of the year, and the games that come out earlier tend to be forgotten.  So this is where those games get their due.

Another E3 has come and gone, so I thought I’d write a blog about my favorite games and news stories from the show.  But before we get to that, I have to rant a little bit.  I do apologize in advance, but for the second year in a row I was denied a press pass to E3.  So I have to gripe about that a second.
