It's summertime now and you know what that means: movies! We tend to watch more movies in the summer, am I right? Well I do atleast. So I thought it would be cool if I take a whole week and review six video game movies for you. Have you seen many VG movies? They're usually terrible, but there are some good ones. I'm going to give you one each day next week (monday thru saturday) with my opinion and thoughts of the overall movie. Now I know that E3 is next week, but this was the best week for me to do this (I wanted to do it in June), so I hope you'll make time to enjoy E3 and catch my reviews. What movies will I do? So I saw this video the other day and thought I would share it with you guys. It's an interview with Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario. Since Super Mario 64, Mario has had the most iconic voice in video gaming. Martinet explains why he chose to do Mario's voice in the style he has, along with many other aspects of voice acting. But this man is talented; not only does he do Mario's voice, he also does the voices of Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi. Thanks to Martinet, Mario has been given a very down-to-earth, fun-loving charm. I can't imagine Mario with any other voice (and I love Luigi's voice too). Enjoy the video, guys. 

I don't know about you, but I love NES music! Of course, the NES did not allow for authentic sounding instrument samples, so instead we got chippy sounds, yet that kind of music can still be enjoyable. There are so many great NES themes, but I've broken it down to 8 of my favorites. I've left out some of the obvious ones that everyone knows (such as the Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda themes), but I'm sure you've heard most or all of these here. As always, feel free to comment and let us know what your favorite 8-bit themes are. So here are my 8 picks, in no particular order. 

So I haven't done an amazing vg themes for awhile because I've been pretty busy; I feel more of an obligation to do retro game of the week, which I hope everyone is enjoying. So I'm coming back with some awesome sci-fi vg tunes via metroid games! These are some awesome themes! I know the Metroid series is kind of lifeless at the moment, but the series has had some remarkable games and some great music to go with them.
