Have only just heard of the show and game because I'm an uncultured schlub (is that even a word) but the words "like pokemon but" makes me really excited to at least play the game. Don't know about watching the show, because rewatching pokemon was as rewarding as getting a labotomy from a dentist.
How far through are you now? There are a few critics I like who say it's a really flaw gem, and I do like the series... sell me on it!
Nice! Welcome back btw. Long time no see. I heard the game was pretty meh, hasn't been getting stellar reviews which made me skeptical. But I adore FF2, so it might be worth a look.
Not so much troubles, it just takes forever. Because there's a lot of content I'm listening through and trying to decide what to cut to make it more manageable, plus getting rid of awkward pauses and some stuttering and just in general prettying it up.
And yeah. That's what I was thinking, because we all seem to like different ones.
And I really like the D-Pads, but as you guys said, it would be much funnier if we were female.
RPGs are superior to other games though, because I like it and I'm superior to other gamers.
Seriously though, does it matter? All it is is a way to group things so people can find what they're looking for. Is it perfect? Hell no. There is no way Dark Souls, Mass Effect, Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex, and Diablo should be bundled in together, but they are. But when someone describes something as an RPG to me I generally just think of a game that is either story based or character progression based.
Only one I can think of is Euro Truck Simulator 2, which is excellent if you haven't played it. Outside of that... maybe Spintires if you drowning in mud.
I do like that a lot actually. Pixlblastercaster is a bit too long imo but pixl blastercast could work. I know it's one syllable, but it rolls off the tongue a little better.
If you bought it on console, get a refund anyway, because this game stinks :p
Haven't played it unfortunately. I heard it was like God of War but where you can be killed by a vagina. That sounds fucking awesome.
The problem with "clones" is that at the time people decry them, and then we don't have any more of that type of game and then we want more. Games like Singularity get flak for being derivitive of Bioshock, and yeah I kind of agree but if you're going to copy from someone, copy from the best! It does mean that years later we get to go back and discover awesome games we missed though. a 7 out of 10 becomes a solid 8.5 in a few years.
