I blame that one on Cary. I bought the first Animal Crossing game way back when because of his review on 1up.

What system is AC Happy Home Designer for? And I don't know. The home decorating part of Animal Crossing has always been my least favorite part. I'm more into catching bugs and fish and digging up fossils.

As for Fantasy Life, it kind of reminds me of a cross between Animal Crossing and one of the FF games with multiple job classes.

Raiders came out in 1981, so I have no idea if you saw it or not. I like Temple of Doom and Last Crusade, but Raiders will always be my favorite. Marian may have been screaming, but she was smacking the bad guys with things like frying pans while she was doing it.

I saw Unforgiven in the theater. It's a very well done film, but I didn't really like it. None of the characters were very likable, other than Morgan Freeman's, and he died a third of the way through.

In the 1990s I was reading Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine. I think i had a subcription from around 1984 to around 1993 or so. Found a copy in the grocery store last week. I think the entire store heard me squeal with glee.

I think there was a squid or kraken boss in Lunar: Silver Star Story fairly early in the game. Most of the squid I come across in games are bosses of one sort or another in rpgs.

Several of the younger nephews and almost-nephews are really into Minecraft, but it just never really grabbed me. Proobably just as well, considering my addiction to Animal Crossing.

I'm intrigued by Penny Dreadful, but don't have access to it other than at $1.99 an episode on Amazon, which isn't going to happen.

Don't you love it when relatives mess with your electronics? One of my nephews was over once and he brought the hard drive for his 360. I told him not to swap them out until we had vacuumed and dusted first, but when I got up the next morning, his hard drive was in the 360. Words were said ("I am so disappointed with you!" I sounded like my mom, lol).

I'd never heard of them before that. I liked them better than the Moody Blues, which was the main act.

Grave of the Fireflies is an excellent movie, but so, so incredibly sad. Just a warning. While I felt it was incredibly well done, it's one of the movies I have put in the category of "I can only watch this movie once".
