Thats kind of what I was thinking too. The plot in Super Metroid was pretty much implied and the action told the story. Even in the Prime games is was all just filler from research logs. Guesse I'll find out.
It was a pretty good deal when I got it cause Mass 3 was still full price. But time wise I think I've sunk 40 hrs in to Mass1 and I'm already 45 into Mass2 and still got probly at least another 10 to go. And since Mass3 has multiplayer there is no telling how much time I sink into that one.
Sounds like the guy was one step shy of proclaiming that rock'nRoll is the devils music. Can't stand old out of touch coots. God help me if get like that when I'm old.

I have not read the book but I did see the movie, which I thought was pretty good. I'll have to pick up the book. As for favorite Sci-fi, thats a little tuff.
Movie: I have to go with the original Star Wars trilogy with the runner up being Bladerunner.
Book: Well its a graphic novels but close enough, Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo and the runner up is Battle Angel Alita by Yukito Kishiro.
Game: A three way tie betweem Xenogears, Star Ocean; Till the End of Time, and the Mass Effect Trilogy.
I have a hard time with narrowing down faves so I will probably have another list in a couple of hours. Laters!
I buy very few game new, and even fewer of those do I preorder. One reason is cause I'm a cheap basterd, and the other is if I'm not 100% sure the game is good I'm not about to drop $60 of my hard earned cash on a gamble. And it seems like the games with the most hype are the one to be the most wary of. Colonial Marine is a perfect example. Although I have not played it, I have read enough reviews and seen enough Youtube videos to know that Assasins Creed 3 is a glitchy fuckin mess. And it has not even been out a year yet and Assasins Creed 4 is already around the corner. I like quality over quanity.
Anyway I'm not going to sweat all this too much cause I got enough games in my back log to keep me buissy for years. But it would be a damn shame to see the video game industry implode because of shamless greed when they are on the verge of being accepted as an art and as the next major form of popular entertainment.
Considering I hardly touch my Wii since getting my PS3, that and I'm just not realy impressed with it, they would have to drop some serious Gems. By which I mean a Zelda game of Wind Waker calibur, a Metroid game of Super Metroid calibur, and a good Star Fox game wouldn't hurt either. Otherwise not seeing much reason to get one.
Pixlets? Nah, sounds to much like piglets. P-Bits...no too much like P-Diddy or well...piss sprinkles. PB's? Ugh, I give up.
I totaly agree, but sadly Eastman and Laird have pretty much chose money over creator integtrity many time over. I still respect them and their humble beginings, but they have not done much for the old school core fans of the original comics. In Peter Laird defence he did speak out against Megan Fox being cast as April. But its too little too late as far as I'm concerned.
Great write up and entertaining as hell. Had wrote a longer more detailed response but got auto logged out some how and it is lost and I don't have the energy to write it all again. In a nut shell if you take the two video reveiws together that pretty much nails. Personaly I don't consider it a true numbered sequel, to me its more like an expiremental prequal to FF Tactics. Same director, character designer, score composer, and set in the same universe. I still really liked it quite a bit flaws and all.
I had heard the thing about casting Fox as April (rediculously bad casting choice for no end of reasons), but I could deal with that so long as anybody other than Michael Bay or Brian Singer was directing it. He butchered the Transformers and basically made them nothing more than props in their own movies. Now he wants to make the Turtles space aliens. He is fucking nothing more than Uwe Boll with a big budget. All his movies have sucked. He's like King Midus only everything he touches turns to shit.
