Blake Turner's Comments - Page 116

I'm Offended.

Tyler is a mix of both. He often portrays a character, as Tyler did. Most of the shocking stuff he says he either says because it's funny or because it helps with the portrait he's painting.

Either way, censorship is censorship. It doesn't matter why he's saying it, he shouldn't be banned from a country unless he's committed a crime. Which he hasn't. He's super straight edge, doesn't do drugs or drink. He's just a kid who occasionally says some stupid stuff, and sometimes tries too hard to be edgy.

I'll show you pussy footin, I'll kick a bitch in the cunt
'Til it makes her queef and sounds like a fucking whoopy cushion

That lyric was on his last album. He is still pretty huge. He's still selling more than most artists combined.

Look up Yonkers if you want to know who Tyler is. It's his most famous song.

He is still popular though. Like, super popular. His albums are stil chart toppers. He's still both as homophobic and misogynistic and no one cares.

The songs that are causing Tyler to be banned came out six years ago. He's pretty tame now.

I have more to argue, but we'll save it for the podcast and stop arguing on Matt's blog. He doesn't need this shit :p

It's Been A While

Fair enough. I do understand that feeling, and I adored Rogue Legacy. I feel like The Swindle is only one patch away from being astounding.

Firstly: I'm glad you enjoy the game. I don't want to take that away from you and I don't want to get spoilerific here as to why the story doesn't work and is stupid and dumb. But...

The sidequests are shit. They're all anticlimactic and most offer no real story or insight into the villains you're chasing after. You fight them a few times and then they're in jail without so much as a conversation between them and batman. The ones that don't fall into this mould are ruined by pacing, since most sidequests are multi tiered and require you to progress through the story more to unlock the next chapter, which is stupid as shit.

Thirdly, the open world is a problem. Arkham Asylum was fucking awesome, and ever since it moved to open world it's been downhill. And the graphics? Honestly I didn't think they were that great. Especially after playing The Witcher 3.

Sure, Arkham Knight has the best combat in the series. Too bad you spend 60% of the game in the fucking batmobile so you barely get to experience it.

Arkham city had a better story. Asylum has a bad story with some admittedly fucking awesome moments.

In closing, there is an excellent game in here somewhere but it's buried under a mountain of shit.

I look forward to our inevitable screaming match of a podcast :)

I did beat it. It has it's problems. It's a bit too long, it's a bit frustrating in places. But what it does well, it does extremely well. It's one of the most atmospheric games I've ever played.

Arkham Origins is not a part of the trilogy. Even Rocksteady say that.

I'm sure I've killed at least 100 people with the batmobile. I mean I hit them at 90 miles an hour AND electrocuted them.
