YOTS: Metal Gear MSX

Yeah, don't. Playing that version is what made me suspicious, because you seemed to actually enjoy this version, and I thought you had lost your mind a bit, because I couldn't get past a stupid bush in the NES version. lol

I actually have very few games to beat. That one just ... that last dungeon is so much worse than the Water Temple in OoT ever was. I honestly never understood why the Water Temple was soooo hated, but this. Eff this.

Cary's 2013 Summer Movie Checklist

I actually wound up having to see that by myself. Ron Perlman's character was the best part for me. Really fun movie.

Anyway, Cary, I think I might do my own blog on movies I saw. My opinions are pretty similar to yours, but not completely, obviously. And yeah, there was X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was goofy, over-the-top, and had bad CGI Wolvie claws. The Wolverine is much more serious in tone (though also a bit goofy in terms of goings-on), shot in beautiful Japan, and has much better effects for his claws. I like 'em both for different reasons.

Late 80's Number Ones

Final Fight is the only one of these I recognize. I went to arcades in the 90s, and more than half the time when I did, it was because I was at a Cici's Pizza. The ones I remember most are Area 51, and ... well, a lot of fighters, basically. I'm sure there's more, but I'd have to look it up, like with the Tiger Electronics and PC games. I definitely most remember my console experiences.

Where will I be, though? I'm like Carmen San Diego, only confined to Texas. lol

I think they may have changed things around from NES to PS2. They definitely changed that thing telling you to turn off your PS2, lol.

"Hideo Kojima designed the original Metal Gear, which debuted in Japan and Europe in 1987 for the MSX2 computer platform.[1] A separate team created a heavily modified Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) port of the game that was released in Japan, North America and Europe."

All of that is from Wikipedia, taken from a couple Gamespot articles. It sounds like maybe the PS2 version you played was the version that was initially released on MSX2, and not the NES port I played online a while ago. I'm curious now what all the differences are.

So I was told. Actually, I want to ask you, you downloaded some software to make your OS more like 7/XP right? Where do I find that and how much would it cost? For now, I think I'll get used to using 8 on a non-touch-screen, but for further on down the line, I may want to know how to get this classic view, or is it just an option on the newer ones?

The most flamboyantly British-sounding one I could find. Couldn't afford his sassy, binary-speaking companion, though.

The Last Door - Chapter 1: The Letter Review

This is interesting, and something I might check out once my new laptop arrives. Does it come in flat out Spanish? I figure that might be a good way to relearn me some language. My rustiness cost me a job about a year ago. Granted, that job was at a very stressful looking Wells Fargo, but nonetheless, I'll take all the "edutaining" routes I can get, if available. Every time Alex writes a blog, I kind of feel ashamed my Spanish is nowhere near as good as his English.

We shall see. At very least, I think the free stuff will run smoothly. So I'm happy about that. Smile
