EDIT:  sorry that was a bit short of me!  I just wanted to agree with you man, it's a bit out there.  Too much going on at one time.  Also...thus far I only really use Mitey, the first familiar you're granted, though I've captured at least 20 others.  

It's definitely not my favorite aspect of the game.  I really dig the familiar mgmt though
