Immersing Myself in The Witcher's World

Happy time off! And Beauty and the Beast with vampires and rape, you say? Classic Disney. Why, just take those old Grimm Fairy Tales and traditional French stories and make them dark, you dastardly mouse.

Also, while I don't do it myself, I'm not judging if you can't buy something, and the only way to get it is to download, especially as long as you are supporting the creator in other ways, which is impressive, cause I've seen Australian prices and they're more frightening than koala bears, and those fuckers have damn sharp teeth!

Happy Father's Day!

I actually saw a website that mentioned Big Daddies in their top five best dads, so I'd say so.

And Joel is a good name. Just one letter away from being a perfect man name. lol Wink

If you're a BIG fan of Avatar, then you'll notice they stayed faithful to the basic plot progression, but left out a lot of characters, changed some things around, and it's a lot "darker" in look and overall tone, which really doesn't work. But I liked the CGI, personally, I actually thought it was pretty good on Appa and Momo. Plus all the crap surrounding it got me to watch the show, so there's that.

That link was fun. Might read tv tropes more often.

Yeah, the Nostalgia Critic did an Old vs. New episode comparing the old cartoon to the Jackson movies ... I watch too much nostalgia themed internet content. lol

I actually don't remember Aragorn going over a cliff; when I say casual, I mean I sort of drifted in and out and liked watching people slide down elephants to fight. I remember the crowd reaction to the bajillion endings in Return, though. Never been in a theater with something like that since. lol

High five on the Human Centipede/Tosh.O/rohypnol drug reference. For whatever reason, the way that guy says it in the movie cracks my friend up.

Ah, I see. I guess with Sony, since Killzone 2 was the most notorious offender, I just guessed they did the same. And that's interesting about 8. If I bought a new laptop, I'd get 7, for sure, or a different OS, I'm just not informed about it as I should be, and I've noticed on Steam that Ubuntu and Apple OS are supported less than Windows.

Now that you say that, that Lays bag is clearly made of frosting, and even if Subway lies about the actual length of its foot longs on occassion, that sandwich doesn't look proportionate, even to their six inch subs.

Well, that'll teach me to glance at things.

Why is the cake a Subway sandwich and chips? Either I don't get the joke, or I am seeing the wrong image.

But hey, hope you're having a great summer!

Yeah, but didn't the PS4 do so as well, most likely? I get that it's an industry practice we should call out, and I don't think companies should be allowed to do it (blatant false advertising), but I don't think this makes MS look worse, so much as everyone else look bad, and PC look like the obvious choice for graphical powerhouse. ... which still works out for MS, cause you're most likely getting their OS on a gaming PC.

I realize internet pitchforks and torches are a poor barometer of public opinion at large, but honestly, I think that is due to a lack of information Joe Blow cares to recieve at this point. Joe Blow is not a hardcore gamer, so I think he'll notice the pricetag, the inevitable holiday consumer reports that will pretty much have to mention the One's policies, and that the consoles both have a lot of the same games.

Of course, it comes down to marketing. Microsoft's strategy should be to pump out a ton of "only for the One" commercials of all their exclusives, and Sony should continue doing and advertising everywhere they can, videos like the one about trading games to mock the One, just with more info, so Joe Blow can be filled in on what the nerds knew months ago.
