Yeah, $500 was not unexpected imo, and I don't consider it outrageous. It's just I better know 100% I own my games if I'm paying that to own a console. Not that I'm buying it anyway, but they could have still had my attention.

That sickens me that after winning that bogus lawsuit against Samsung (the details of that case make it clear the head juror skipped over evidence and the jurors were not tech savvy enough to be deciding the case fairly; hence why they didn't, and why I think Apple deserved the trucks full of pennies prank Samsung pulled) they are coming out with such a similar looking layout to that of the Galaxy phones.
That desktop is very interesting though; now that's actually innovative. I'd be interested in the details of how that works. I think I'll be using Spotify and other "radio" programs unless iTunes radio is somehow really different, which I doubt. It could win me over though. Siri in general is a neat gimmick, but don't really care about it.
I'll admit though, Android can be frustratingly buggy (my LG Optimus V's is, anyway), so I might consider switching to iPhone. We'll see, though.
Interesting news about usgamer, I might check that out. I'll need to see these new trailers, that new Killer Instinct announcement makes me very happy. Too bad if it's a One exclusive or the DRM crap is on both consoles.
Well, if that controller was free, and I could own my damn games for it, I actually would like to get an e-mail like that. Oh well.
I love the idea of Captain N, Non-specific Action Figure, Batman, and Wreck It Ralph duking it out, so why not?
I'd love to see Yoshimistu or Eddie Gordo from Tekken, or maybe the panda or kangaroo. They'd probably put Heihachi or Jin there though, they're more iconic. Maybe even King.
Definitely agree about Belmont and Mega Man as well.
I'm gonna stay away from the U.S. and Christian bashing, and just point out that an Australian Freshman that lived in one of the dorms I worked in my senior year said he was not aware of Australians missing out on any games due to censorship when I asked him about a GTA being embargoed. That lying ... wonderful bastard that gave me free hot peppers last time I visited my alma mater, cause he was working the Jimmy Johns there. Still a liar, though. A delicious, hot pepper providing liar.
My U.S. education tells me that last comma placement is suspect and possibly makes what I wrote homosexual. I'm leaving it there, not cause I'm homosexual, but because I feel very strongly about hot peppers.
Yeah, I think the Brooklyn thing was them going "hey there are stereotypical Italians in New York, right? Perfect." And that line of thought is why this is so unfaithful and awful.
Yeah. Interestingly enough, I just applied for a game testing thing that seemed focused on FPS and I told them Halo and CoD I've had fun with. That's actually true, but in general, it's not my favorite genre. If they pick me, I'll tell them I come from a casual FPS player perspective (which is true) and if not, oh well.
I can see not being into superheroes for several reasons (powers sometimes don't make sense, plot conveniences/contrivances, general silliness), but I just love 'em. To each their own.
I don't even like FPS, so ... eh. Honestly, that's why I don't even care that I don't have a current gen system. But those awesome Batman games would change my mind if I had the money. lol
Which can be taken care of by playing on the can.
