I like her in the way you might like a villain in a movie with an funny attitude. She's unrepentantly nasty. It makes me laugh and then go. . . eew. I'm interested to see where this story goes.

My friend has been playing Puzzle Quest on his 360 while I was playing Witch and the Hundred Knight on my PS3 last few weeks.
I love Puzzle Quest CotW. I came just short of beating it. It gets hard near the end. But I would play it over again any time. PQ2 just fell flat for me. Plus I got stuck in one area unable to progress. I forget exactly why. I liked PQ Galactrix much better, but I never got to the very end of that either. I'm still waiting for a true sequel to PQCotW. I like the 2D graphics and the emphasis on the match-three battle system for every mechanic in the first game.
There was Puzzle Chronicles and Puzzle Kingdoms out there, but neither are as deep and satisfying as PQCotW.
She's like Salome. Or a Honey Badger. She just don't give a *&)#&.
I was looking for some evidence of a coming twist in the story that might show Lia (Metallia) in a better light, but after that first witch bashing, I'm pretty sure there's no redeeming her.
I immediately though of Naughty Bear, but then there's very little blood in this game. There was one creature, that I think was some sort of strawberry come alive, that left a bloody mess when you killed it, but of course, that's just jam. Or is it?
Yea, it's pretty solid. The battle system is pretty complex. I just started to get the hang of it this afternoon.
I might try Bureau sometime, but I still haven't got to XCOM EW.
There's some lurking suggestions in this game. Aside from vanquishing bosses in strange ways, you search for Pillars which are like a stem with a flower bud on the top. You hit them a bunch and they bloom, spilling swamp mud all over the level. Yeah (said in a suspicious tone).
Shmups are cool. I am way into Xevious, Flying Shark and the TwinBee games. I learned about a few more from the Taito collections I playe recently like the Darius series. In the video you posted there's some really cool new ones for phones and tablets. I've got to get something to play those on sometime.
Darn, more reasons to get a tablet. These looks super cool.
I started following her after she wrote the really funny Overlord games. She also wrote the story for Mirror's Edge.
