Yup, fluffy rain. One inch of rain is equal to about a foot of snow.
And I saw what you did there, lol.
Sweet! I didn't know they were putting out a new Phantom comic! He's a very popular character in Norway, where I lived for three years (or at least he was), and it's one of the ways my Norwegian tutor used to help me learn the language. I still have a bunch of the Norwegian comics I'd collected when I lived there, kept safe in a wooden box that I made in shop class with the logo painted on the top. Such a geek, even as an 11 year old!
Those 40" inches came over the course of three big storms in six days. The big problem was the wind. And the wind may be the reason the pipes running from the water heater to the cottage froze. Whatever. I had to get up, I'd already rescheduled that oil change once due to the snow storm last Friday, and I was out of milk for my coffee. Not to mention the shoveling...
I think there will always be a market for a broad spectrum of games. My now 18-year-old nephew took a break from whatever CoD (or similar game) that he was playing to check out Journey the summer after it came out. I watched him play, and then when it was all over, he sat back and said "whoa" quietly to himself, and just sat there for a few minutes. They'll play other things, they just won't admit to it to their peers.
It's mostly about the story for me.
One of my favorite games!
I'm still in "I like snow" mode. The woods are gorgeous at this time of year, and I had them to myself this morning. And yes, hot water is under-appreciated, until you don't have it.
Forty inches of powder, there's no slipping. It's like falling into a pile of feathers. And it was safer than trying to walk home along the road, where there's no shoulder, just snowbanks.
