It does make sense! That would be nice.

I hear ya!
It's a pretty big mess. You're better off not knowing about all of the differences and just buying blind. If you don't know you're missing out on the special in-game clothing and special area, you probably won't notice. Little goofy add-ons like that don't bother me much either way, I really don't like it when the foundational game experience is dependent on where you buy the game. The version of Dishonored I bought had a couple of extra (minor) power ups, and I wondered if that was making a difference in the way I was playing or how the game felt. I am pretty sure it didn't, but there's no way to know for sure. Same goes for multiplayer games where you can get exclusive weapons, armor, and abilities. Who is playing The Real Game? This probably isn't really a serious problem, but it just chafes a bit.
She also says "line" for the first level. The shapes that form are seemingly random and not related to the level you have achieved. Levels being line, triangle, square, etc.
We have forums!?
I'll put my comments over there!
UPDATE: Oh my lands! That IGN article has one game per page. No thanks. I'll wait for the 100 lines of text summary.
Well, it looks like that Dark Dungeons movie is all tongue in cheek, which is good. We've had anti-Catholic Chick Tracts on our cars after Mass on Sundays and they are... interesting. I think the organization and people that distribute those pamphlets have the best of intentions, but they are certainly off the mark on many things, such as facts.
I rented this once or twice and now own a copy, but have yet to try it out since I bought it. Since I love Zelda II, you're encouraging me to hook up the ol' NES.
I enjoyed your write-up!
It's been a while since I looked at it, but I think it was developed by one passionate guy, so even though it looks pretty bad, I'm impressed.
Great blog, as usual!
I know it's not on console, but have you seen this related game intro?
A lot of interesting choices in that Pac-Man artwork. What is the slime? What is the evil Pac doing behind him? What kind of cabinet is that? Why does the cabinet have 3 buttons? 1-player, 2-player and ???
O, the questions!
